A Message from Me

Welcome to the Listeners' Club!

I am so happy you are part of this project.

It is a new idea for me, so I hope the content and the system I designed for you meet your expectations.

Your support is very important for me, so thank you again for subscribing.

Down here, you'll find all the content I made for you: some articles on my favorite songs (published on a daily basis), a song dedicated to John Lennon, a video about its songwriting process (with a tutorial for my musician friends), a poem, and the whole Music & Stories collection in PDF format.

Let me know what you think of these!

P.S.: keep an email on your email and/or on the members-only posts on BuyMeACoffee for all the updates about our monthly hangout!

A Song in the Day

Listen to my favorite tracks with me (and find out more about their story!).

Forty Years

Forty years ago John Lennon was killed.
The 40th anniversary of John's death made me think about his legacy as a great artist and human being. So I wrote this little song for you. Enjoy!

A little technical note: by clicking on the images above you'll be directed to my Soundcloud profile. On Soundcloud, you should be able to stream the track at your leisure (even offline). You can also download it, but you will need a Soundcloud profile for that (sorry...). If you don't have a Soundcloud profile and you don't want one, write me an email (info@nicolestella.com) and I'll send you an MP3.

How I Wrote Forty Years

This poem is a Cinquain, a form vaguely inspired by the Japanese Tanka (a longer version of the more famous Haiku).
I wrote it while thinking about the pressure usually connected to the arrival of a new year, when we review how our life did so far and we set new goals or resolutions. It is okay to do that, but sometimes it is also nice to take some time to relax and maybe wait for a better environment, like flowers do with spring.
